Old-time fans of the professional ladies of the ring may remember three times we heard of the gals putting on the gloves. Jean Antone vs Kay Noble, covered in a wrestling magazine. Kay Casey vs Lucille DuPree, a great match available on YouTube. And then the lesser-known Joyce Grable vs Terri Shane. We've seen some rare, poorly scanned images of this private boxing match, but it seems to be lost in time. The ring hosts the girls in what appears to be a private match, in a paneled room, in their wrestling garb and boxing gloves.
We can't recreate any of those encounters, but here's just a taste that may take you down memory lane. All created digitally, so no real wrestlers of any era are depicted here. But you can see the bit of homage we give these vintage warriors.
